Arrangement of Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" Published
I still remember the first time a friend in High School put headphones on my ears and told me to listen to Imogen Heap's song "Hide and Seek." I had never heard anything like her beautiful and haunting vocal/electronic harmonies. It was sounded otherworldly, and yet felt raw and personal at the same time.
I knew the song would work well for cello! I first premiered my cello trio arrangement of "Hide and Seek" with my great friends Kenny Lee and Jamie Clark at Eastman School of Music in 2011. I'm finally publishing it now, updated with some tweaks to Cello II and III to make the double stops more comfortable. (Kenny and Jamie thank me for that, I'm sure.)
This arrangement can easily be played as a cello quartet as well: Simply play the Cello III part as a divisi.
