Arrangement of Debussy's "Passepied" published
Updated: Sep 3, 2021
I love Debussy's music, and as my wife and I searched for music that would work for oboe and cello, I was inspired by the Punch Brother's arrangement of Passepied. My arrangement turns the original piano version into a lively dialogue between two instruments, with cello playing primarily the bass or accompaniment role, and oboe/flute/violin playing the upper melody role.
The arrangement is in the original key, and is best suited for advanced players. It's a colorful, short piece to use for a formal recital or house concert.
The digital download includes score, oboe/flute/violin part, cello part, and edited cello part with fingerings.
